As you wait it out for the lockdown to show signs of letting up, we know that you have been using this time in ways never seen before! New ideas, new ways of teaching and most important - instilling a sense of enquiry and self learning in students so they flip this lockdown phase to discover entirely new ways of learning.
It is also a phase where most of us are discovering the immense importance of creativity and self expression - the most powerful tools of online learning and teaching.
We are delighted to bring to you a very limited seat workshop by Australian Writer Deborah Abela who has a treasure chest of learning strategies you could use for your writing classrooms!
In this practical, hands-on session, on 22nd May from 3 to 4 pm Deborah will lead teachers through a series of activities to help their students become better writers. Together, the teachers will explore ways to help students develop ideas, draft exciting prose and create characters and plots readers will love. Most importantly, you’ll do it in a way that encourages the students to enjoy writing. The session includes a 20-page handout brimming with fun and inspiring activities to use in your class.
