Ahoy Goa!! Pomegranate sets sail on 29th October with a set of special workshops to give you a taste of Pomegranate! Drop by for the experience!

Kids, its time for some horror at the Halloween special workshops at House No 248 Goa!
Adults fear not, we have a real surprise at the Garden at Giverny for you as well!

Following are pre registered workshops on a first come first served basis. Please mail Kheyali Vaze on kheyaliv@gmail.com with your full name, age, name of workshop and your phone number to pre register for the following sessions -

10 am to 11:30 am - Ages 7-10 years - Listen to a reading of excerpts from the popular story Coraline by Neil Gaiman and then make your own mixed media masks to enter 'the other world' in keeping with the horror theme in the story!

11:30 am to 1:30 pm - Ages 16 years and above for all adults - Ekphrasis! Celebrate the birth month of Claude Monet and Georgia O'Keeffe with a special session at the Garden at Giverny where you write write your own poem as a deeply personal response to the works of these great artists as you inhabit the painting. Find out how!
2:30 pm to 4:30 pm - Ages 10-14 years - Listen to Edgar Allan Poe's dark short story Tell Tale Heart and then write your own horror story!

Walk in sessions (no pre registration required)
5 pm to 7 pm - Explore your own creativity while you experiment with the unique styles of Claude Monet and Georgia O'Keeffe in the Garden at Giverny (the demos will be every half an hour)
10 am to 7 pm children can create mixed media masks in anticipation of Halloween!

The Pomegranate Workshop is happy to announce a new Partnership with The Language Club in Bandra! The Language Club is committed to helping children become effective communicators and creative thinkers. They provide an environment for children to discover, learn, reflect and create!

What's Your Story? - Our special Creative Writing Workshop for children between 9-13 years starts on October 28th at The Language Club!

What's Your Story? Is an 8 session Creative Writing workshop where children can exercise their creative faculties, indulge their love for reading and writing, and explore their own writing skills across different genres in Poetry, Fiction and Non-Fiction - from creating unique characters, understanding importance of setting and plot in fiction, to exploring the genre of play-writing where you give characters dialogues, to using rhyme while creating poetry, exploring world-building through adventure/fantasy writing, the workshop has a wide range of exposure and fun!

Over the course of this workshop, children will gain exposure to a wide range of literature, discover new forms of story writing, and realize their own writing potential under the guidance of our faculty.

From ideation to accomplishment, What's Your Story? Provides children with a unique opportunity to explore the subtle craft of creative writing with accomplished facilitators. Our faculty consists of writers, educationists and language experts

Our facilitators include Snehal Vadher, holds a Masters degree in Creative Writing from The University of Manchester.

He has been teaching art, writing and English to children in the Mustang district of Nepal. He was awarded the Charles Wallace Fellowship for Creative Writing in 2013. Some of his work can be found online at nthposition, Nether, Almost Island, Vayavya and Juggernaut

Akshat Nigam is a writer, educator and storyteller. His storytelling performances include 'East of the Sun, West of the Moon' and 'An Uneasy Truce: Stories about Fear' among others. He received the Hindu Playwright Award 2017 for a play he co-wrote, titled 'In Search Of Dariya Sagar'. He has conducted several writing and filmmaking workshops with children across the city.

Sreevidya Surendran holds a Ph.D in English from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. During her bachelors she won the Bhavna Krishnamurthy Shield for Creative Writing. She exercises her writing skills in both literary (short stories, poetry, script writing, song writing) and academic fields. She recently presented her paper on Trauma Studies and Art
